The Canmore Eagles are proud to announce first-year defenceman Brody Mortensen has committed to the Lindenwood Lions NCAA’s Men’s Hockey Division I.

Mortensen has put together an impressive rookie campaign so far this season compiling five points (1G, 4A) through 22 games played. The smooth skating defencemen joined the Eagles this season after an exceptional season with the Warman Wildcats of the SMAAAHL . During his time with the Wildcats, Mortensen put up 36 points through 39 games played.  The 6’2”, 190-pound defenceman from Humbolt, Saskatchewan will join the Lions for the 24-25 season. 

Eagles Head Coach Andrew Milne  “Brody is a very detailed person in his preparation of the game, which is also very evident when he plays. He’s extremely mature for his age and is consistently professional in his approach each day.  Our organization is very happy for Brody and his family for this accomplishment and look forward to watching his growth continue in his games with the Eagles.”

Mortensen will be in action Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00 pm when the Eagles travel to Blackfalds and Okotoks respectively.  You can catch each game on Hockey TV.
