8 GREAT REASONS TO ATTEND FRIDAYâ??S HOME GAME VERSUS CALGARY

EAGLE'S NEXT HOME GAME – Friday, March 1 versus Calgary Canucks – 7 PM

1) MUST WIN (OR TIE) GAME – Friday’s home game between the Canmore Eagles and the Calgary Canucks is the last regular season game of the 2012-2013 AJHL  season and is of tremendous importance to the Eagles. If Canmore can secure a win (or a tie), they will clinch fifth-place in the Southern Division standings and will meet the fourth-place Drumheller Dragons in the first-round of the upcoming AJHL playoffs.
2) CHEER ON GRADUATING PLAYERS – Friday’s game will be the last regular season home game EVER for six 20-year-old Canmore Eagle players who will all be graduating from Junior Hockey at the conclusion of the season. Come cheer on Riley Point playing in his 218th game as an Eagle, Ciaron Driscoll (199th game), Zack Rassell (177th game), Steven Phee (171st game), Alex Barnes (200 AJHL games) and Ty Swabb (63 AJHL games).  These boys deserve some appreciation for all their hard work both on the ice, and in the community, over the years representing the Eagles.
3) CHEER ON THE BOW VALLEY PLAYERS – The Canmore Eagle’s lineup could feature six local Canmore boys in the lineup. Come and show your support for Canmore boys Luke Simpson, Johnny Stevens, Jeremy Gordon, Kyle Pauls, Nils Moser, and Simon Philp.
4) LAST CALL FOR FLEX TICKETS – Friday’s game will be your last chance to use up this year’s “Flex Ticket” vouchers and “Christmas Tree” bonus tickets.
5) BE FIRST TO PURCHASE PLAYOFF TICKETS – Fans at Friday’s game will be able to purchase tickets for this year’s Game 3 of the upcoming AJHL Playoffs. Game 3 of the best-of-five opening round series will be played in Canmore on Saturday, March 9 at 7 PM.  Get your tickets now!
6) CAN-BOW MOTORS LAS VEGAS RAPID FIRE SHOOT-OUT FINALS – Friday’s game will feature the Finals of this year’s Can-Bow Motors Las Vegas Rapid-Fire Shootout. Check out Torin Young, Braiden Leth and Brian Stevens as they battle it out for the Grand Prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas during the first intermission.
7) AFFORDABLE ENTERTAINMENT – Tickets to Canmore Eagle games are just $13 for an adult, $10 for students and seniors, and $5 for children. The ticket booth opens at 6 pm. Game time is 7 pm.
8)  $3 DRAFT BEER FRIDAY NIGHT – Come on up to the Eagle’s Nest Lounge and enjoy special $3 draft beer on Friday night. Be sure to check out the new Eagles Nest Lounge entrance door located up the stairs between Sections B and C.
