Ben Assad Departs Canmore Eagles to Join WHL’s Tri-City Americans
Canmore, AB – The Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) announce with mixed emotions the departure of Assistant Coach Ben Assad, who has accepted a coaching position with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Ben has been a valued and integral part of the Eagles organization over the past several seasons, not only on the bench but throughout the community of Canmore. His dedication to player development, tireless work ethic, and positive influence on and off the ice have left a lasting mark on our program.
“While we’re incredibly proud of Ben and excited to see him take this next step in his coaching career, it’s certainly bittersweet,” said Eagles Head Coach and General Manager. “He’s been a huge part of our day-to-day success and a valued figure in our organization and community. He will be missed, but we know he will thrive at the next level.”
The Eagles organization is committed to developing not only players but also staff, and Ben’s advancement to the WHL is a testament to that mission. We thank him for everything he’s brought to the Canmore Eagles and wish him continued success with the Tri-City Americans.
Please join us in congratulating Ben Assad as he begins this exciting new chapter in his coaching journey.
