BOBCATS HANG ON TO A 4-3 WIN OVER EAGLES

NEXT HOME GAME: Sat., Jan 17 – Calgary Mustangs

The Canmore Eagles had a good effort Friday night on home ice, but unfortunately they fell just short as they suffered a 4-3 loss to the visiting Lloydminster Bobcats. With the loss, the Eagles remain in 6th place in the South division with a record of 20-23-1 and they remain 5 points back of the 5th place of Olds Grizzlys.
Canmore's own Simon Philp had a goal and an assist and was named the Eagles' star of the game. Philp also reached a milestone as he now has over 100 career points with the Eagles. Congrats Simon !!!
Matt Forchuk (8) and Kyle Pauls (6) were the other goal scorers for the Eagles.
Ryan Ferguson got the start between the pipes and he made 34 saves in the loss. The shots on goal were 38-35 in favour of Lloydminster.

Canmore played last night's game without the services of four starters as Connor Wilson (upper body), Jeremy Gordon (flu), Brett Radford (flu) and Griffin Mumby (flu) all all missed the game.
The Eagles will look to get back in the win column tomorrow night, as the Calgary Mustangs (12-29-3) are in town. Game time is 7 pm.
