Canmore, AB – The Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are proud to announce 1996-born goaltender Ryan Bontorin, from Calgary, AB, has committed to St. Norbert College for the 2017 season.
St. Norbert College is located in De Pere, Wisconsin. Their hockey team, the Green Knights, has competed in 11 DIII Frozen Four Championships and won the National Championship 4 times.
Bontorin first joined the Canmore Eagles in 2015 and has since started in 83 games with the team. During his 20-year-old season, Bontorin was a core part of the Eagles leadership and displayed a true commitment to giving back to the Bow Valley community.
“I am extremely excited for Ryan and his family,” said Eagles Head Coach and GM Andrew Milne. “He has definitely put in the work. His commitment and perseverance to get to this point in his career shows his character and passion. We wish him the best as he moves forward with his athletics and academics.”
