Devin Chapman Commits To The Canmore Eagles

The Canmore Eagles have signed goaltender Devin Chapman (William?s Lake, BC).

Chapman (?01) began the 2018-19 season in the BCHL with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Later in the season, Chapman returned to his midget team, the Cariboo Cougars of the BC Major Midget Hockey League. During his return to the Cougars, Chapman posted 11 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties to go along with a regular season goals-against average of .236. He then followed up with a .133 goals-against average and going undefeated through the playoffs to lead his team to the British Columbia Midget AAA Championship.

?Devin is an athletic goaltender, who has a presence in the crease and challenges shooters,? said Canmore Eagles Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne. ?Our staff really likes his athletic ability as well as his experience. He started last season playing Junior A in the BCHL, then went on to win the BC midget AAA league only losing a single game all year, playoffs included. We are looking for a goaltender to step in right away and win hockey games. I am expecting a battle for the crease starting day 1 of training camp.?

Due to ongoing renovations at the Canmore Rec Centre, Eagles Training Camp will open Monday, September 2nd. All Eagles exhibition games will be played away from the Rec Centre but Training Camp is open to fans from September 2nd to the 4th for practices and scrimmages. Training Camp Schedule will be released next week.
