The Canmore Eagles have signed ’99 born Finn Withey of Whistler, British Columbia. Withey is 6’0’’ left shooting forward who most recently played with the Comox Valley Glacier Kings of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League. In 21 games this season Withey has scored 16 goals and totalled 27 points. Prior to this season, Withey split time between the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League and Comox Valley.
“Inserting Finn into our line up is certainly going to strengthen our forward depth. All of our scouting reports indicate that Finn plays a responsible two-way game and has a nose for the net,” said Eagles Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne. “He is an experienced player who has played in the BCHL playoffs. We fully expect Finn to fit into our offensive attack.”
Withey is expected to wear #17 with the Eagles and joins recently acquired defenceman Brent Schuldhaus.
