The Canmore Eagles held their 17th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 14 at the Brewster Kananaskis Ranch Golf Course and we are happy to report that all 100 golfers and the golf course survived the event.
Fresh off a last second 3-2 victory over the Calgary Mustangs on the Friday night, the mood was joyous and the golfers enjoyed sunny skies, warm temperatures, excellent course conditions and a superb BBQ's Hip of Beef dinner afterwards.
“It was one of the best Eagles golf tournaments we’ve ever had,” confirmed Eagles President Darryl Lockwood. “I’d especially like to thank Deegan Construction, Canmore Printcraft and a player’s parent who wishes to remain silent for their financial contributions towards the tournament. With their support, we were able to provide the opportunity for all our 26 Eagle players to participate in the tournament. It was a wonderful opportunity for the players, coaches, parents, volunteers and friends of the Eagles to mingle and have some fun together. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.”
The Eagles would also like to acknowledge the help and support of Brewster Kananaskis Ranch Golf course manager Robert Grisdale and host Janet Brewster-Stanton for their help in organizing the event.
Special thanks also to Molson, Shaw, Shoppers Drug Mart and the Brewster Kananaskis Golf Course for their prize donations!
