EAGLE’S PHEE TO PLAY IN DULUTH, MINN.

The Canmore Eagles are pleased to announce that graduating forward Steven Phee has committed to attend and play hockey for “The College of St. Scholastica” in Duluth, Minnesota.

Phee, a native of Balzac, AB. will be joining former Canmore Eagle team-mate defenceman Justin Krabben who joined the Saints after graduating from the Eagles exactly one year ago.

“It’s a great opportunity for Steven to continue with his hockey as well as gain a valuable education,” said Canmore Eagles General Manager and Head Coach Andrew Milne. “He has been a big part of the organization over his four years here and has worked extremely hard to achieve this.  Our organization would like to congratulate Steven and his family and wish him all the best as he continues with his hockey and educational goals.”

Phee played a total of 171 games in an Eagle uniform, scoring 55 goals and adding 46 assists.

As of mid-May, three 2012-2013 Eagle players have now signed college commitment letters as Zack Rassell will be playing for the University of Alaska/Anchorage, Riley Point for Red Deer College and Phee in Duluth, Minn.
