TEN GREAT REASONS TO ATTEND FRIDAY NIGHT’S LAST
REGULAR SEASON HOME GAME AGAINST THE BROOKS BANDITS

1) It should be an excellent hockey game. The Brooks Bandits are the defending Canadian Junior A National champions and have already secured a first-place finish in the AJHL Southern Division standings for the fourth straight season.
2)  The Eagles are in a desperate “fight to the finish” as they are currently battling the Camrose Kodiaks for a fourth-place finish and home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.
3) The Eagles are an impressive 21-6-1 on home ice this year and have proven that they can play with the Bandits as they have beaten them three times in their five games played to date.
4) AJHL Commissioner Ryan Bartoshyk will be in attendance for a special pre-game ceremony to present Canmore Eagle defenceman Trey Phillips with his AJHL’s “MOST VALUABLE PLAYER” and “BEST DEFENCEMAN” trophies. The presentation will start at 7 PM sharp, so come early. It will also be Trey's 200th game in an Eagle sweater.
5) The finals of the Can-Bow Motors “Las Vegas Weekend” Shoot-Out competition will take place during the second-period intermission. The finalists are Rick “Slapshot” Anderson, Mike Gordon, Peter Philp and Noah Philp. Someone will win the trip for two to Las Vegas on Friday night!
6) This will be the last regular season AJHL home game for 20-year-old Canmore native and captain Nils Moser.
7) This will be the last regular season AJHL home game for 20-year-old Canmore native and assistant captain Luke Simpson.
8) This will be the last regular season AJHL home game for 20-year-old Canmore native and assistant captain Johnny Stevens.
9) This will be last regular season AJHL home game for four other 20-year-old players including Trey Phillips, Jeremy Margeson,  Bryan Arneson and Austin Hebert.
10) When the Eagles played in Brooks last weekend, the game was played before 2,005 fans. It would be great for the boys to see a sell-out crowd of 675 at the Canmore Recreation Centre to help cheer them on! The Eagle’s Nest Lounge will be open for beverages. It’s Friday night – come to the rink, enjoy some exciting hockey and cheer on your EAGLES! Game time is 7 PM. Ticket counter opens at 6:30.
