Jared Bowman Commits to Trine University

The Canmore Eagles are pleased to announce that defenceman Jared Bowman (1999) has committed to Trine University Thunder for the 2020/21 season. Trine University is located in Angola, Indiana, and competes in the NCAA Division III NCHA Conference. 

?I am super excited to commit to Trine University, it is a great school with a strong hockey program and great business program which I will be enrolled. It was nice to find the school that checks off those boxes.? Said Bowman ?I like that Trine is a new Division III program, the team had a great season last year and they have a drive for winning that makes me want to be a part of the program.?

Bowman (Calgary, AB) completed four full seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League playing 260 games including playoffs. Starting his career with the Olds Grizzlys he become team captain in Olds before being acquired by the Eagles in 2018. While with the Eagles, Bowman was named an alternate captain and was relied upon for his maturity, leadership, and courage. Bowman finished his junior career with 11 goals, 53 assists.

?Jared has defiantly put in the work and paid his dues. He has worked hard at developing his game during his time in Canmore and I am extremely happy that he has found a good fit for him and his future. I hope Jared all the best and our organization thanks him for his commitment as an Eagle.?  Said Eagles Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne.
