Matthew Cadden (Revelstoke, BC) is set to join the Eagles organization after signing a Letter of Intent for the 2019-20 season.
Cadden (?01) is a skilful defenceman who captured the Kootenay Junior Hockey League Championship and Cyclone Taylor Cup with the Revelstoke Grizzlies last season. On route to winning the league championship, Cadden scored 11 goals and 21 assists in 43 regular season games and added 2 goals and 9 assists during the playoff run. He capped off his season with a goal and an assist in 4 Cyclone Taylor Cup tournament games. Prior to the start of his junior career in Revelstoke, Cadden played for Delta Academy in the CSSHL where he won two league championships and was named Defenceman of the Year in 2016.
“Matt has the ability to get the puck out of the defensive zone and up the ice,” said Eagles Head Coach / General Manager Andrew Milne. “His vision and evasiveness gets the puck moving the right direction quickly. He can run a powerplay effectively and like most of our young players coming in, he has a track record of winning experience. We are adding a quality player who has succeeded in big moments for his teams.?
Cadden is set to arrive in Canmore for Training Camp to start the 2019/20 season.
