PLAYOFF PREVIEW – EAGLES VS DRAGONS

MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2013 – The Canmore Eagles will meet the Drumheller Dragons in the first-round of their Alberta Junior Hockey League 2013 playoffs.
The first-round series will be a Best-Of-Five affair, with the first two games being played in Drumheller on Wednesday, March 6 and Thursday, March 7.
The series will then shift to Canmore for Game Three on Saturday, March 9 and, if necessary, Game Four on Sunday, March 10. Game Five, if necessary, would be played in Drumheller on Tuesday, March 12. The starting times for games in Drumheller is 7:30 pm, and 7 PM for games in Canmore.

The Eagles and Dragons split their regular season series at three wins apiece. Due to a subsequent forfeiture* by the Dragons due to an ineligible player in their lineup during their Feb. 23 game, the Eagles were officially 4-2 against the Dragons.
*All stats do not include the forfeiture.
Both the Dragons and the Eagles won twice in the other team’s arena.
Canmore won the first three games of the season, while Drumheller won the last three games. The Eagles won the first three games by scores of 3-1, 5-2 and 5-1, while Drumheller won 5-0, 5-3 and 5-3*.
