The Canmore Eagles will open their 2012-2013 Alberta Junior Hockey League season on the road with a game against the Olds Grizzlys on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The Eagles will then return to the Canmore Recreation Centre for a pair of home games on Friday, Sept. 14 against the newly created Whitecourt Wolverines (formerly the St. Albert Steel) and on Saturday, Sept. 15 versus the always powerful Spruce Grove Saints.
Friday's home opener should be a lot of fun as Calgary Flames PA announcer has agreed to perform the PA duites for the Eagles that night, Canmore Mayor John Borrowman will drop the puck for the ceremonial face-off and Shopper's Drug Mart will provide a free pre-game BBQ.
Both games start at 7 pm.
