Jordan Revie had four goals and one assist to lead the Canmore Eagles to a 10-5 victory over the Calgary Mustangs in an Alberta Junior Hockey League game played Tuesday night in Calgary.
The last time that Canmore scored 10 goals in a game was back on December 23, 2003 when the Eagles defeated the Brooks Bandits 10-2.
Ryley Risling (16 & 17) and Lane Olson (5 & 6) had a pair of goals, while Matt Forchuk (3) and Logan Ferguson (5) rounded out the scoring.  Risling also had a pair of assists to give him a four-point night and Joe Serpico also had four assists. A total of 13 Eagle players had at least a point in the victory.
The victory improved the Eagles record to 13-14-1, while the Mustangs saw their record drop to 7-21-2.
“Our offence was clicking tonight and it was good to see Revie and Olson come out from their offensive slumps,” said Eagles Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne in reference to Revie who had just one goal in his last 14 games and Olson who had just one goal in his previous 20 games. “A night like tonight is a good one for our guys to gain some confidence, and confidence is contagious.”
Also coming in for some praise from Milne was defenceman Jeremy Gordon who logged a ton of ice time on the backend . With defenceman Jakob Lavoie and Nikolas Kosman out of the lineup with injuries and Griffin Mumby ejected from the game early in the second period for a Fighting major, the remaining Eagle D-men were left to pick up the slack.
“Gordon has really stepped up for us in the last few games and has been a real leader for us back there,” said Milne. “With Mumby gone early, Gordon took charge, played a ton of minutes and controlled the group very well. His experience and leadership is really starting to show. ”
NOTEBOOK: The Eagles now have three players in the AJHL Top 20 scoring parade with captain Connor Wilson sitting in 6th spot with 33 points (11 g & 22 a), Ryley Risling in 8th spot with 30 points (17 g and 13 a) and Jordan Revie in 16th spot with 25 points (13 g & 12 a).  . . The Eagles specialty teams enjoyed a great night against the Mustangs as they scored four powerplay goals on seven attempts, and successfully killed off all six Mustang powerplays.
