Skills Development Camp – April 30 – June 11
The Canmore Eagles are pleased to be offering a skills development camp for all ages. The camp will run Tuesday evenings from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. This 7 week camp begins Tuesday, April 30 and finishes Tuesday, June 11. The focus of the camp will be directed towards enhancing skills such as skating, shooting, passing, checking and basic hockey fundamentals. Our objective will be to not only teach the skills, but to allow players with some basic fundamentals to continually work at improving. The camp will be instructed by the Eagles coaching staff along with some of the current Eagle players. We are encouraging players of all skill levels and age to attend; because the camp emphasis is on individual skills, development and pace will be individualized.
Canmore Eagles 3 on 3 Spring Hockey – April 30 – June 13
Teams of 7 players and 1 goalie will be put together fairly to ensure games will be evenly matched. This will be non contact hockey which will be fast and fun. The 7 week camp will start April 30 and finish June 13, 2013 running Monday to Thursday.
3 on 3 hockey offers the majority of the traditional hockey rules with the exception of no red line, penalty shots instead of 2 min penalties, and a shoot out to end the game. 3 on 3 is a fast paced game with very few whistles. Games include: 5 minute warm-up, three 15 minute periods & 5 minute Overtime/Shootout if necessary.
1997 Yr of birth and below will skate every Monday and Wednesday from 6:45-7:45 pm
1998-2001 Yr of birth will be split into 4 teams and skate Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 or 6:45-7:45 pm depending on which teams are playing in which skate.
2001+ Yr of birth players will skate Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm
Women’s Only Skill’s Camp
The Canmore Eagles hockey club is please to offer a Women's only skills development camp. The camp will cater towards women 14 years of age and older and of any skill level. The camp will take place Thursday evening from 8:00 to 9:00 pm at the Canmore Rec center.
It will be a 7 week camp starting May 2nd and finishing June 13th. The camp will be instructed by the Eagles coaches and focus on teaching some of the basic hockey fundamentals for the various skills levels such as, skating, shooting, passing, and basic hockey structure followed with 3 on 3 game play each day.
The Eagles will provide knowledgeable staff open to assist with an and all aspects of the game, we will also provide a Eagles Camp Jersey.
