FORCHUK AND FERGUSON EARN INVITE TO TEAM CANADA WEST CAMP

Two Canmore Eagles, forwards Matt Forchuk and Logan Ferguson, have been invited to the Team Canada West selection camp for the upcoming World Junior A Hockey Challenge.
The Team Canada West selection camp will occur in Leduc from Dec. 5-8.
Forchuk and Ferguson will join 60 other players looking to nail down a spot on the eventual 22-man roster that will travel to Trenton, Ontario for the international tournament that is scheduled to start on Dec. 13.
Forchuk currently leads the Alberta Junior Hockey League in scoring with 40 points in 26 games, while Ferguson sits in 4th-place in league scoring with 34 points.
“I couldn’t be happier for the two of them,” said Eagles Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne, who will certainly miss his top two stars while they are away. “It is a real honour for them to be invited to the selection camp and I think they both have an excellent chance of earning spots on with the team. This opportunity will provide them with some great exposure as a lot of NCAA scouts will be covering this annual tournament.”
