Eagles Add Highly Touted Prospect Tye Carriere

The Canmore Eagles are excited to announce the commitment of Tye Carriere for the 2018-19 season.

Carriere is a 6’1’’ 185lbs 01-born forward from Red Deer, Alberta. Carriere played this past season with the midget AAA Red Deer Chiefs of the Alberta Major Midget Hockey League. As a 16-year-old, Carriere produced at nearly a point a game pace scoring 18 goals and 14 assists totaling 32 points in 34 games.

“We are certainly excited to welcome Tye to the Eagles organization,” said Eagles Assistant Coach Evan McFeeters. “Tye is a player that has created offense at every level he has played. He has great vision with the puck, and when combining his high-end puck skills with how well Tye skates it makes for a very dangerous player. When bringing players into the Eagles organization we want players that possess character, who are intelligent and have above average skating and puck skills. Tye checks those boxes and will develop into a very good junior A player in an Eagles sweater.”

Carriere will make his first appearance in an Eagles sweater when Training Camp opens on August 28th.
