The entire Canmore Eagle’s organization is saddened to announce the recent passing of long time supporter and former board member Ken Samis, who passed away on June 9 at the age of 78 years.
Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Jean, and his entire family.
“Ken always held a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew and worked with him,” said Eagle Team President Darryl Lockwood. “He was a tireless worker and a great volunteer who didn’t ask for anything in return. He just wanted the hockey club to succeed in the Canmore community. Ken will certainly be missed at both the hockey rink and in the community at large.”
A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Michael's Anglican Church, 709 – 7 Street, Canmore with a Reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ken's life.
