Verveda, 20, played parts of two seasons with the Canmore Eagles after being acquired in a trade in January of 2017.  Verveda scored 11 goals and added 33 assists in 79 games with the Eagles as well as being named the club's Top Defenceman for the 2017-18 season.

“Since acquiring Travis part way through the 2017 season he became a steady presence on our back end for our young team,” said Head Coach & General Manager Andrew Milne. “He played big minutes in all situations for our club and was a key player on our power play. Our club wishes Travis all the best in his future as a student-athlete at Trinity Western.”

The team wants to thank Travis for his team involvement both on and off the ice. We would also like to congratulate Travis on his junior hockey career and his commitment to his education while continuing his hockey career.
