Cale Lyons (Lethbridge, AB) is an 01-born defenceman who finished just behind his Midget AAA Lethbridge Hurricanes teammate and Eagles signed player Tayler Miller in scoring by a defenceman in the Alberta Midget Hockey League. Lyons made a big leap in offensive production during his 2nd year of Midget AAA producing 26 points in 32 games. He is a product of the Lethbridge AAA system and has had team success at every level, capturing league championships in Bantam AAA, Minor Midget AAA and Midget AAA. Cale is the younger brother of current Eagle Connor Lyons.
?What jumps out about Cale is his ability to pass the puck,” said Eagles Assistant Coach and Assistant GM Evan McFeeters. “He is very poised and handles the puck well. Finding passing lanes and being able to deliver the puck to the forwards with precision is a tremendous quality. Cale is also very coachable, he was able to join our team throughout our playoff run as an affiliate and proved to Andrew and myself that he wants to become an Eagle and that he will take the necessary steps to become a successful Junior Hockey player.?
