MARGESON COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN

The Canmore Eagles are proud to announce that 20-year-old forward Jeremy Margeson has committed to play for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the 2014-15 season. The U. of S. Huskies are a member of the Canada West Universities Athletic Association in the C.I.S.
Margeson, a native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, played 160 regular season games for Canmore over the past three AJHL seasons and registered 21 goals and 32 assists.
“We couldn’t be happier for Jeremy and his family,” said Canmore Eagle’s Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne. “Jeremy was one of the hardest working and most dedicated players on the team over the past three years. He gave us everything he had, on every shift. We are very excited that he has earned the opportunity to pursue his education at the U. of S. and also continue his hockey career at the same time.”
“I would like to thank the entire Canmore Eagle organization for everything that they have done for me over the past three years,” said Margeson, who has enrolled in Geology at the U. of S. “They helped develop me both as a hockey player and as a person. I have realized how hard you have to work to achieve success in life. It was an amazing three years in Canmore and I would like to thank the coaching staff, my team-mates, my billet families and the fans for their support.”
Margeson is the fourth Eagle player to commit to a post-secondary institution this summer as Trey Phillips (Vermont), Bryan Arneson (NAIT), and John Stevens (SAIT) have also committed.
